Key Responsibilities: The following duties are essential to the role. Additional tasks may be assigned as necessary.
· Complies with all regulations and protocols outlined in the Connally Memorial Medical Center operational guidelines.
· Conducts interviews with patients or their representatives to gather and document personal information including name, address, age, religious affiliation, emergency contacts, attending physician, and billing responsibility.
· Clarifies hospital policies such as visiting hours, billing procedures, and fee schedules.
· Assists patients to their designated rooms or coordinates transportation to the appropriate ward.
· Inputs patient admission details into the hospital's information system and ensures the printed documentation is sent to the relevant department.
· Secures a signed acknowledgment from patients to safeguard the hospital's interests.
· Allocates patients to specific rooms or wards as required.
· Gathers information for occupancy and census reporting.
· Safeguards patients' valuables during their stay.
· Processes payments related to patient accounts.
· Performs any other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience: A high school diploma or equivalent educational qualification (GED); or one to three months of relevant experience and/or training; or a suitable combination of education and experience.
