Care Specialist

At Epworth Children's Home, we are dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment for children and families. As an Independent Living Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and success of our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide supervision and support to clients living on campus or attending breaks
- Ensure compliance with program requirements and policies
- Develop and implement individualized plans to promote client independence and self-sufficiency
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address client needs and concerns
- Participate in required trainings and professional development opportunities
We are seeking candidates with a strong background in human services and experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults. A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred, but significant life experience and a high school diploma/GED are also acceptable.
Key qualifications include:
- Embracing the principles of C.A.R.E. and modeling them in practice
- Knowledge of crisis intervention best practices and ability to apply them
- A safe and responsible driving record
- Passing standard background checks, including drug screen, employment physical, SLED, DSS Central Registry, and Sex Offenders Registry
- A belief system and faith practices compatible with those of the United Methodist Church
