Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse - Operating Room is responsible for coordinating patient care delivery by the healthcare team, using the BSWH nursing professional practice model. This includes assessing patient needs, identifying nursing diagnoses, developing and implementing individualized plans of care, and evaluating patient responses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring patient vital signs.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized plans of care, taking into account patient needs, preferences, and goals.
  • Conduct accurate clinical assessments, identify nursing diagnoses, and prioritize patient and family needs.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based practice changes through research utilization and experiential learning.
  • Participate in quality/performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program or 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • 2 years of experience in the Operating Room or a related field.
