Job Summary

The Plant Engineering Manager is a key role within The Sherwin-Williams Company, responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of manufacturing processes and equipment to maintain proper functionality and efficiency. This position requires a strong background in engineering and leadership, with a focus on researching and developing new designs and projects to improve manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Propose and manage budgets for projects
  • Plan and execute strategies for completing projects on time
  • Research and develop designs and products
  • Manage and develop others
  • Partner with various departments and leadership to ensure support of projects
  • Provide clear and concise instructions and training as needed
Requirements
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
  • Must have completed formal training in and/or have at least one (1) year of work experience applying continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing, Transactional Lean, etc.
  • Must have a bachelor's degree or higher or at least four (4) years of work experience in engineering
  • Must have at least three (3) years of work experience in an engineering function
Preferred Qualifications
  • Have a bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering
  • Have at least one (1) year of experience in leadership role(s), supervising others, or leading teams
  • Have prior work experience using timekeeping systems
  • Have at least three (3) years of experience working in a manufacturing and/or distribution facility
