We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Veterinary Ultrasonographer to join our team at BluePearl Vet, LLC. As a key member of our Radiology Department, you will be responsible for operating sonographic equipment to produce high-quality images for interpretation and maintaining the integrity and quality of our Radiology Department.
Under the direction of a Radiologist, you will perform exams at a technical level that does not require direct supervision. Your duties will include conducting a wide variety of ultrasounds, assisting with interventional procedures, and using independent judgment, ingenuity, and acquired knowledge to obtain quality diagnostic images.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform ultrasounds (image capture)
- Perform cystocentesis and collect fine needle aspirates for cytology
- Safely restrain patients for procedures
- Place intravenous catheters in all peripheral veins
- Perform phlebotomy
- Proficiently perform digital radiographs
- Administer and monitor patients during anesthesia or while sedated
- Perform advanced imaging such as CT scans and MRI procedures
- Must be a RVT or graduated from an AVMA accredited vet tech school
- A.S. Degree required. B.S preferred
- Veterinary Ultrasound certificate program or certificate in diagnostic medical sonography preferred (RVMS) or Certificate program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography
- Graduate of Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation/or, accredited radiology program or equivalent
- Certification by American Registry of Radiological Technologists or equivalent
