Pharmacy Technician Job Overview

As a Pharmacy Technician at A-Line Staffing Solutions, you will play a vital role in assisting pharmacists with drug preparation and dispensing under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist and in accordance with state pharmacy regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with filling prescriptions, packaging medications for dispensing and delivery, meeting accuracy and productivity standards.
  • Label products appropriately, including cautionary or auxiliary labels.
  • Participate in the periodic inventory of the pharmacy.
  • Check in drugs and supplies, stock shelves, and remove out-of-date items from the inventory.
  • Prepare medications, including emulsions, liquids, powders, and ointments, which may include non-sterile compounding.
  • Communicate with internal and external customers in a pleasant and professional manner.
  • Process returned medications from the facility for credit or destruction.
  • Assist in the training of new employees.
Requirements:
  • Verifiable High School Diploma
  • Attendance mandatory for first 90 days
  • Must have valid TN license
  • National Certifications preferred
  • 1 year of pharmacy tech experience – long-term care setting preferred

  • A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates.
