About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic/Technician to join our team at Penske Truck Leasing. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on our fleet of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on trucks and trailers, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake repairs.
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with engines, transmissions, and other major components.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to complete repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Use Penske's tools and technologies to log, research, and complete repairs.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and techniques.

Requirements
  • 6 years of practical experience with truck and tractor-trailer maintenance.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
  • Specialized training and experience in the diagnosis/troubleshooting of major components (engines, transmissions, differentials).
  • Valid driver's license required, CDL preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills and communication skills.
  • The ability to work well as part of a team.
