Position Overview:

The Assembly Technician plays a crucial role in the mechanical assembly, calibration, and packaging of production items. This position is vital for ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of quality and functionality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute mechanical assembly tasks on production items with precision.
  • Assist in the processing of materials and packaging.
  • Support the calibration of all products.
  • Maintain focus on the objectives of the Manufacturing Department and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the Quality Management System.
  • Engage actively in the company's health and safety initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Essential Skills:
  • Expertise in Complex Mechanical Assembly
  • Proficiency in Simple Electronic Assembly
Experience Requirements:
  • Familiarity with RoHS-Compliant Assembly
  • Experience in Handling and/or Inspection of PCBAs
  • Proficient in Through-hole Hand Soldering
  • Skilled in Hand-Soldering Wires
  • Ability in Cutting, Stripping, & Crimping Wires
  • Experience with pre-set hand-tool calibration and quality control
  • Knowledge of Firmware Download into PCB

Qualifications:
  • Familiarity and/or Certification in J-STD-001
  • Familiarity and/or Certification in IPC-A-610
  • Familiarity and/or Certification in IPC/WHMA-A-620

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent; one to three months of related experience and/or training, or a combination of education and experience.

Language Proficiency:
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, write correspondence, and effectively present information in various settings.

Mathematical Skills:
Ability to perform basic mathematical operations using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense to follow instructions and solve problems involving concrete variables.

Physical Requirements:
The role requires the ability to use hands for various tasks, stand, walk, and occasionally lift up to 10 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, and color vision.

Work Environment:
The work is conducted in an industrial setting that necessitates constant awareness of surroundings.
