Graham Technologies (GTECH) is seeking a dedicated civil engineer to manage engineering initiatives within military environments. This role is pivotal in supporting Military Construction (MILCON) projects and other engineering tasks, ensuring compliance with all relevant specifications, standards, and timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Evaluation and Oversight:
- Review and analyze plans, designs, and specifications developed by licensed engineering professionals.
- Evaluate design documents and deliverables at all stages for final endorsement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to address construction Requests for Information (RFIs) and oversee project completion deliverables.
Documentation and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Organize, validate, and disseminate all design documents, specifications, and project transition materials.
- Maintain ongoing communication with project sponsors and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
- Facilitate facility planning and coordination efforts for the Facilities Department.
Regulatory Compliance and Standards:
- Identify and implement new planning standards, Unified Facilities Criteria (UFCs), and regulations impacting projects.
- Recommend modifications to existing planning processes to incorporate updates and ensure adherence to established criteria.
- Apply UFCs, technical specifications, and other requirements to project development and planning documentation.
Schedule Coordination:
- Ensure compliance with project timelines by collaborating with personnel and stakeholders.
- Manage critical initiatives and operations related to project requirements.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Produce analyses, reports, and presentations to keep stakeholders informed and facilitate decision-making.
- Maintain logs of issues and project comments, coordinating RFIs throughout all project phases.
Qualifications:
- Active Secret Clearance
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Professional Civil Engineering License
- Familiarity with Department of Defense (DoD) and Marine Corps policies regarding facilities planning and engineering projects
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience in managing MILCON projects and working on DoD installations
- Proven leadership and project management capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in facilities planning and programming
- Knowledge of Naval Facilities (NAVFAC) and Army Corps of Engineers processes
- Ability to create professional correspondence and manage programs effectively.
