Position Overview

Accountable for the planning, organization, and execution of social work services tailored for cancer patients and their families, ensuring that their clinical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs are addressed on an individual basis. Provides both individual and group counseling support. Facilitates high-quality care and education for patients and their families; oversees the coordination, implementation, and assessment of clinical activities, as well as patient and public education initiatives, performance improvement, and administrative support. Conducts psychosocial evaluations and care planning throughout the continuum of cancer care in an outpatient context. Maintains communication with referral agencies and relevant community resources.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Social Work is required.
  • Experience or training related to oncology is preferred.

Licensure Requirements

  • Must hold a Social Worker license in the state of South Dakota.
  • Oncology social work certification is preferred.

Work Schedule

  • As needed (PRN)

Compensation

The hourly wage for this position is outlined below. Actual pay will be based on experience.

  • $43.50 per hour
