About the Role

The State of California is seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of quality health care to Californians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform at the journey-level in the Community Services Division (CSD), Prevention and Youth Branch (PYB), Program and Policy Section (PPS), Prop 64 Program Unit.
  • Exercise judgment in providing policy, procedural, and programmatic recommendations.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of behavioral health emerging trends and specific subject matter knowledge pertaining to Proposition 64 (Prop 64).
  • Interact with Prop 64 Advisory Group Stakeholders and contractors in a professional manner, and provide technical assistance and training to monitor and guide youth services.
  • Ensure fiscal compliance with state and federal statutes and regulations related to Prop 64 funding.
Requirements
  • Ability to independently gather, analyze, and interpret data; make sound decisions and recommendations; and reason in a logical manner to resolve issues.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Self-motivated with a high degree of independence and ability to complete tasks and deliver quality work products.
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, and organize day-to-day workload and long-term assignments.
  • Excellent writing skills; and the ability to prepare comprehensive reports, summaries, presentations, correspondence, and other written documents.
  • Knowledge of the State Contracting Manual, State Administrative Manual, and applicable State and Federal laws and regulations.
  • Ability to be diplomatic, service-oriented, and collaborate well with peers, colleagues, and managers; and promote a respectful and cooperative work environment.
  • Ability to communicate (verbal/written) clearly, concisely, and accurately.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook, and knowledge of Access and SharePoint.
