Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Lead Engineer to join our Military Hardware Team within the Engineering Support to Operations (ESTO) organization. The successful candidate will lead production support efforts for military products, focusing on root cause investigations, corrective actions, and product/process improvements.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engineering change packages to enhance quality, cost, and producibility while incorporating Pro-Cert methodology and data-driven decision-making.

  • Drive initiatives to reduce the Cost of Poor Quality, eliminate repeat Quality Notifications (QNs), and improve producibility through lessons learned and continuous improvement.

  • Manage corrective action plans targeting QN and cost reductions, while identifying and addressing areas of waste in production support processes.

  • Oversee outsource technical quality and skill development, presenting updates and technical content to Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT), Compression Systems Engineering (CSE)/ESTO management, and Program stakeholders.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and 8 years of prior engineering experience, or an Advanced degree in related field and 5 years prior engineering experience.

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
