Job Summary

Prime, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Trailer Inspector/Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the mechanical compliance of our trailers with Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections of trailers entering and exiting our yard to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
  • Inspect tires, lights, and other exterior components for safe operating conditions.
  • Inspect trailers arriving from Mexico for damage and/or mechanical defects.
  • Ensure timely and authorized entrance to and departure of equipment.
  • Refuel equipment as required.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Industrial experience is a plus.
  • Must have a strong work history and be able to work nights and weekends.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation to and from work.
Working Environment

This position requires constant standing, frequent walking, head turning, stooping, squatting, reaching, and grasping, as well as working in the elements. The candidate must be able to lift and carry up to 105lbs and also push and pull 115lbs.
