Job Summary

As a Courier/Swing Driver/CDL at FedEx, you will be responsible for operating company vehicles and providing courteous and efficient delivery and pick up of packages. You will also be responsible for checking shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service, providing coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area, and providing related customer service functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate company vehicles and provide courteous and efficient delivery and pick up of packages
  • Check shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service
  • Provide coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area
  • Provide related customer service functions
Requirements
  • High school diploma/GED
  • Six (6) months courier experience preferred
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person
  • Good human relations and verbal communications skills
  • Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred
  • Demonstrated skills in adaptability, dependability & excellent courier methods
  • Must meet & maintain the qualifications as outlined in the federal motor carrier safety regulations
  • Must pass all FedEx Express & regulatory/statutory required background checks or security threat assessments
Working Conditions
  • FMCSA covered safety sensitive position
  • Medical exam required
  • Subject to regulatory alcohol & drug testing, which includes testing for marijuana, pcp, amphetamines, cocaine & opioids
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
