Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HVAC Service Manager to lead our heating and cooling service department under the direction of upper management.

The successful candidate will be responsible for scheduling, directing, and providing technical support for our HVAC technicians to meet service demands and exceed customer expectations.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership, communication, and conflict management skills, as well as the ability to motivate and inspire a team to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule and direct the daily operations of the heating and cooling service department
  • Provide technical support for HVAC technicians to meet service demands and exceed customer expectations
  • Communicate efficiently with dispatch and other management to meet departmental goals and objectives
  • Recruit, train, and develop HVAC technicians to take pride in their work
  • Supervise technicians as they complete equipment repairs, installations, and start-ups
  • Assist with performance appraisals, reviews, and goal-setting for technicians
  • Review work orders, invoices, and time reports for accuracy to ensure timely cash flow and minimal account receivables
  • Oversee, maintain, and monitor assigned service vehicles to ensure they are operating properly
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 10+ years of HVAC service experience
  • 2+ years of management experience
  • EPA certification
  • Experience successfully supervising or managing technicians
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Knowledge and understanding of local codes, heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems
  • Able to read, interpret, utilize, and train on manuals, schematics, and control circuits
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict management skills
  • Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office and other general software
  • Trade school and NATE certifications preferred
