Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Family Medicine Team at Essentia Health in Brainerd, Minnesota. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support our healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide routine patient assessments, including vital signs and medical histories, to assist in diagnosing and monitoring patient health.
  • Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations and minor procedures, ensuring proper infection control and patient safety.
  • Administer prescribed medications, including injections and oral drugs, and monitor patients for any adverse reactions or side effects.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans, and assist in coordinating follow-up appointments and referrals.
Requirements
  • Current registration or certification as a Medical Assistant or licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the relevant state.
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant Program, with certification required within one year of hire (must pass certification within two attempts).
