Educational Requirements
Doctorate in Psychology (PsyD) or PhD in Clinical or Developmental Psychology (Mandatory)

Experience Requirements
Completion of a postdoctoral fellowship in clinical psychology (Mandatory).
Minimum of 3 years working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and engaging with diverse families. Experience in a pediatric academic environment is preferred. Evidence of involvement in collaborative research focusing on early childhood is essential. Interest in teaching and supervision is advantageous.

Essential Skills and Knowledge
Proficient understanding of contemporary principles, methodologies, and interventions for psychological service delivery, including assessment and treatment in the relevant specialty. Familiarity with legal and ethical standards governing psychological care is crucial.
Ability to independently assess patient issues and formulate care plans.
Capability to integrate ethical considerations into patient interactions and discuss these with patients, families, and healthcare colleagues.
Experience in supervising and mentoring clinical professionals and/or students in the specialty area.
Commitment to maintaining quality and safety standards.
Demonstrates a dedication to ongoing education and stays informed on advancements in the specialty.
Knowledge of and adherence to legal and ethical standards in psychological service delivery.

Licenses and Certifications
Licensed Psychologist in Washington, DC. Fully credentialed psychologist at Children's National Medical Center. Required upon hiring.

  • Deliver psychological services to patients at Children's Hospital and other authorized locations in a professional and timely manner.
