Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and compassionate School Psychologist to provide a range of services to support the academic success and mental health of students in our schools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, academic, social, and emotional functioning.
  • Interpret assessment results and make recommendations for interventions and accommodations to support student success.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement strategies to promote student achievement and well-being.
  • Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to students as needed, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of IEP goals, ensuring students receive the necessary support to reach their full potential.
  • Provide consultation to teachers and staff on behavioral and academic interventions, promoting a positive and inclusive school culture.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, interventions, and services provided, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Stay informed about current trends and best practices in school psychology, applying this knowledge to improve student outcomes and school-wide initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
  • Virginia state licensure as a School Psychologist, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
  • Certification from the Virginia Department of Education for School Psychologists, demonstrating expertise in school psychology.
  • Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations related to special education, ensuring compliance and promoting student rights.
  • Strong assessment, counseling, and intervention skills, with a focus on promoting student success and well-being.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including students, parents, teachers, and staff.
