Vaco is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Cybersecurity to lead our cybersecurity team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive cybersecurity policies, strategies, and initiatives to ensure the organization's infrastructure, systems, and data are protected from cyber threats.
Key Responsibilities:- Cybersecurity Strategy Development: Develop and oversee the implementation of cybersecurity strategies and initiatives to safeguard the organization's assets.
- Team Leadership: Lead a team of cybersecurity professionals, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to foster a culture of security awareness and continuous improvement.
- Risk Management: Conduct regular assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and risks in the organization's systems and networks.
- Incident Response: Design and implement proactive measures to detect and respond to cyber incidents and breaches promptly.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into all aspects of the organization's operations and projects.
- Staying Current: Stay current with industry trends, emerging threats, and new technologies to ensure the organization maintains a proactive cybersecurity posture.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports to senior management and stakeholders on cybersecurity metrics, incidents, and strategies.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Certification: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or similar certification is highly desirable.
- Experience: Proven experience (5+ years) in a senior cybersecurity role, with a track record of developing and implementing successful cybersecurity strategies.
- Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Cybersecurity Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, technologies, and tools.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex cybersecurity concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Industry Experience: Experience working in relevant industries, such as finance, healthcare, etc., is a plus.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
