Citizens is seeking a talented Data Science Undergraduate Intern to join our team for a 10-week summer internship program. As a Data Science Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on real-world projects, collaborate with experienced data analysts, and gain hands-on experience with data analysis and machine learning techniques.
Program OverviewOur summer internship program is designed to provide you with a unique dual experience. You will spend half of your time working on a team to develop a real-world project, and the other half working individually with a host team to participate in ongoing work. This will give you the opportunity to gain a broad understanding of data science and analytics, as well as develop your skills in areas such as statistical modeling, machine learning, and data visualization.
Responsibilities- Perform statistical analysis to validate data models and ensure their accuracy
- Analyze structured and unstructured data to identify trends, patterns, and insights
- Work with business stakeholders to review data sources, data inconsistencies, and business logic for initiating data discovery
- Implement data formulation process, including identification of attributes, exploratory data analysis, data transformation, and temporal data structures
- Present your contributions to colleagues and business leaders as a capstone exercise
To be eligible for this internship, you must be currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Economics, Analytics, Computer Science, or other data & analytic-related degree. You must also have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and proficiency with statistical or machine learning programming languages / tools such as SQL, Python, Pandas, and Cloud Computing.
