Job Title: Math Interventionist

Colorado Early Colleges is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Math Interventionist to join our team. As a Math Interventionist, you will play a critical role in providing academic support and guidance to students, promoting academic success, and facilitating personal and educational growth.

Job Summary:

The Math Interventionist will work collaboratively with students, teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to develop strategies and implement interventions that address individual student needs and promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Uphold CEC's beliefs and values.
  • Review and analyze weekly data trends in math courses.
  • Progress monitor intervention trends and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide direct services to students, including individualized coaching and academic support.
  • Oversee the implementation of math intervention curriculum and collaborate with academic team members.
  • Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to identify student strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement individualized academic success plans and strategies.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing timely feedback and interventions as necessary.
  • Assist students in setting goals, developing action plans, and creating a roadmap for their academic journey.
  • Provide guidance and resources on effective study techniques, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and academic motivation.
  • Collaborate with teachers to align academic support services with classroom instruction and curriculum objectives.
  • Maintain accurate records of student interactions, progress, and support provided.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in education (Master's degree preferred).
  • Teaching or tutoring experience preferred.
  • Previous experience working with students.
  • Strong understanding of educational principles, learning styles, and student development theories.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to assess student needs, identify barriers to academic success, and develop appropriate interventions.
  • Proficiency in utilizing technology and software applications relevant to academic support and coaching.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, policies, and ethical guidelines related to student privacy and confidentiality.
