Bon Secours is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Cath Lab team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary care team, you will provide exceptional patient care and contribute to the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered services.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate treatment effectiveness.
- Administer medications safely and efficiently, adhering to state and organizational policies and procedures.
- Serve as a patient safety advocate, participating in ongoing quality improvement initiatives and collaborating with spiritual care, palliative, and ethics teams as needed.
- Coordinate patient care across hospital departments, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal outcomes.
- Utilize the AACN Synergy Model to restore, support, promote, rehabilitate, or palliate patients' physiologic, psychologic, and psychosocial stability.
- Anticipate and respond to rapidly changing patient conditions, taking decisive action using clinical judgment and clinical inquiry.
- Collaborate with patients and families to address unique needs and advocate for their choices in quality of life.
- Participate in the on-call system for emergency and urgent procedures, responding to STEMI call backs within 30 minutes.
- Current RN license in the state of employment or covered by compact.
- BLS Basic Life Support certification (preferred upon hire, must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care).
- ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (preferred).
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification (preferred).
- CCRN Critical Care Registered Nurse certification (preferred).
- PCCN Progressive Care Certified Nurse certification (preferred).
- National Institute of Health (NIH) Stroke Certification (preferred).
- RCIS Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist certification (preferred).
- RCES Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist certification (preferred).
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred).
- 1 year RN experience in telemetry, critical care, cardiac cath lab, ER, or OR (required).
- EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) training.
- Critical Care Course.
Periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads may occur. May be exposed to physical altercations and verbal abuse. May be required to use physical restraints. May be exposed to high noise levels and bright lights. May be exposed to limited hazardous substances or body fluids.
