Responsibilities

This position offers a unique opportunity to work with a talented team of healthcare professionals in providing advanced practice nursing care to patients with valvular disease. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a broad spectrum of services, including research, clinical trials, patient education, and follow-up care. Emphasis is placed on a team-based approach, and the role of the cardiovascular nurse practitioner will evolve over time to meet the needs of the patients and the advanced valvular disease cardiovascular team.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Current California licensure as a registered nurse (RN)
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and completion of an accredited program for nurse practitioner, with certification as a nurse practitioner
  • Provider number (NPI) is required, and eligibility to apply for furnishing and DEA license to prescribe medications within approved standardized procedures
  • BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) are required

Preferred qualifications include a master's degree in nursing and experience as an acute care cardiovascular nurse practitioner or cardiac RN in an acute care setting.
