A Registered Nurse is essential in delivering comprehensive patient care through a systematic approach that includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Unit Details:
This is a newly established 15-bed unit designed to accommodate MedSurg overflow. The Nurse to Patient Ratio is 5:1, ensuring quality care. The unit is supported by a unit secretary and Patient Care Technicians (PCTs). We offer both day and night shifts.
Responsibilities:
- Administer direct and indirect patient care.
- Oversee and evaluate patient education and the activities of ancillary nursing staff.
- Maintain professional nursing standards while coordinating care.
Requirements:
A. Education/Skills: Graduate of a State Board accredited School of Nursing or equivalent.
B. Experience: A minimum of 1 year of RN Acute Hospital experience is preferred.
C. Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications: Current RN license or permit to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas. American Heart Association BLS certification is required within two weeks of employment.
Work Type:
Per Diem As Needed.
