We are seeking an experienced Incident Response Specialist II to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of directly relevant experience in cyber incident management or cybersecurity operations and be able to obtain DHS Suitability prior to starting employment. Additional requirements include active TS/SCI clearance and US citizenship.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Investigating and responding to cyber incidents, developing mitigation plans, and assisting with the restoration of services
  • Applying knowledge of incident response and handling methodologies to identify and validate threats
  • Collaborating with other components within the organization to obtain and coordinate information pertaining to ongoing incidents
  • Providing support during assigned shifts
  • Developing and implementing cybersecurity policies, procedures, and regulations to protect against computer network defense threats
  • Maintaining currency of computer network defense threat condition by monitoring external data sources and determining which security issues may have an impact on the enterprise
  • Recognizing and categorizing types of vulnerabilities and associated attacks, as well as applying basic system administration and operating system hardening techniques to prevent security breaches
  • Collaborating with other teams to identify and address security vulnerabilities, and implementing measures to prevent future breaches
Required Skills:
  • Experience with incident response and handling methodologies
  • Knowledge of the NCCIC National Cyber Incident Scoring System to prioritize triaging of incidents
  • Knowledge of general attack stages and recognition of vulnerabilities and associated attacks
  • Basic system administration and operating system hardening techniques
  • Computer Network Defense policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Different operational threat environments
  • System and application security threats and vulnerabilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively across physical locations
Estimated Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 per year
