  • As a Bio-Psychosocial Specialist, you will conduct comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessments of adult and pediatric patients and families in NYC to identify their unique needs and develop personalized care plans.

  • Develop and implement evidence-based interventions to address identified patient needs, including counseling, therapy, and resource referrals.

  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between treatment settings.

  • Provide education and support to patients and families on disease management, treatment options, and available resources.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including treatment plans, medication lists, and test results.

  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure timely and efficient care.

  • Participate in department-wide quality improvement initiatives to drive better patient outcomes.

Stay current with industry developments and best practices in bio-psycho-social care.

Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and coordinating transportation.

Required Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution is required.

  • At least 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.

Core Skills:

  • Strong clinical skills with individuals, families, and groups.

  • Experience in oncology and/or palliative care in a hospital setting is beneficial.

  • Knowledge of supervisory skills and staff management is helpful.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is necessary.

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
