Senior Financial Analyst

Humboldt County Office of Education is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to oversee the analysis and interpretation of financial data. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial procedures, practices, and theories, as well as experience with complex computerized information systems and applications.
The selected individual will analyze financial data, identify trends and areas for improvement, and develop recommendations for financial planning and budgeting. They will also assist in preparing complex monthly, quarterly, semiannual, and annual reports, and perform auditing functions over other department accounting information.

Requirements:
- Graduation from high school or comparable demonstration of basic competence
- Five years of experience working with a financial system in fiscal record preparation, development, and maintenance
- Two years of advanced-level accounting and record keeping experience
This position requires excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. The estimated salary for this role is $70,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience.
