Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Paraprofessional I to join our team at Agua Fria High School District. The successful candidate will provide academic support to English Language Learner students, working closely with teachers to ensure student success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized academic support to English Language Learner students, focusing on literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Assist teachers in maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting student engagement and motivation.
  • Monitor student attendance and grades, communicating with parents as needed to ensure student success.
  • Develop and implement tutoring programs to support students' academic needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers to create and implement lesson plans, ensuring alignment with district curriculum standards.
  • Provide administrative support to teachers, including data entry and record-keeping.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student and staff information, adhering to district policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Associate of Arts degree or completion of paraprofessional certification required.
  • Valid IVP Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
  • Prior experience working with high school students desired.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older upon hire.
  • Must possess a positive attitude towards students, teachers, staff, and parents.
  • Must be bilingual and biliterate in Spanish and English.
  • Basic computer and clerical skills required.
