Bartlett Regional Hospital is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to become a vital member of our Diagnostic Imaging team.

Position Summary:
The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for conducting diagnostic examinations by generating, analyzing, and interpreting ultrasound images and associated data.
Under the supervision of a qualified physician, Diagnostic Imaging Director, and senior personnel, the Ultrasound Technologist provides clinically relevant insights to aid the physician in diagnosing and treating patients.
Levels of Expertise:
III:
The Ultrasound Technologist III operates independently within their registered specialty areas and demonstrates proficiency in Vascular imaging.
This level requires registration in Adult Echo or two non-cardiac specialties.
IV:
The Ultrasound Technologist IV represents the expert level, performing independently within their registered specialty areas. This role necessitates advanced knowledge and specialized registrations, and may include leadership responsibilities assigned by the Diagnostic Sonography Supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Completion of an accredited training program in Ultrasonography/Echocardiography, with ongoing educational requirements to maintain valid registration.
Experience:
III:
A minimum of two (2) years of recent experience (within the last five (5) years) as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer.
IV:
A minimum of three (3) years of recent experience (within the last five (5) years) as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer.
Certifications:
Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR Certification at the time of appointment and for continued employment; Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) at the time of appointment and for continued employment.
Career Advancement:
Opportunities for cross-training into other ultrasound modalities.
Additional Notes:
In lieu of fringe benefits, casual employees receive a $2 an hour casual differential in addition to their hourly base rate of pay. Casual employees will not be scheduled to work a full-time schedule for more than four (4) consecutive months or more than 780 hours annually. Casual employees must work a minimum of one (1) shift within a 90-day period to maintain status and employment.
Internal Hires:
Pay rate will be determined based on applicable personnel rules or union contract terms.
Practice Notices:
All new employees are required to produce a negative drug screen prior to the start of employment.
