Senior Tax Associate Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Associate to join our Professional Services+ practice at RSM US LLP. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional tax services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage tax intellectual property from the firm to client portals for both the US and Canada.
  • Oversee the distribution of weekly US Tax Talk publications.
  • Manage the publication of Canada Tax Digest materials.
  • Handle the deployment of Service Models to client portals.
  • Conduct online demonstrations of portals for clients as needed.

Collaboration and Community:

  • Coordinate and facilitate technical consultation requests from member firms to subject matter experts for both the US and Canada.
  • Collaborate with a team to support the Member Desk in handling tax inquiries.
  • Document inquiries and responses in a customer relationship management software or ticketing system.

Community Building:

  • Manage and facilitate virtual and limited in-person meetings for peer groups, roundtables, ad-hoc tax software user groups, and other training events as necessary.
  • Work effectively in a team environment to ensure smooth coordination of these events.

Requirements:

  • BA/BS Degree - preferably in Accounting or related field of study.
  • Must be eligible to sit for the CPA exam - or a licensed JD.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a public accounting environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters of Accounting.
  • CPA, JD, LLM, or EA.
  • Strong technical skills in accounting and tax preparation, industry specialization is helpful.
