Job Summary

EssilorLuxottica is seeking a skilled Licensed Optician to join our team. As a key member of our optical department, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and providing expert advice on eyewear selection and fitting.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and serve customers in a professional and courteous manner
• Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses
• Act as a leader in optical acumen and provide guidance to colleagues
• Take and record measurements, accurately adjust and fit eyewear with attention to detail
• Assist team members with complex product needs and prescriptions
• Accurately and thoroughly use technology despite time pressure and customer volume
• Proactively explore root causes of issues and ensure customer satisfaction
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time with competing priorities
• Strive to achieve exceptional results on brand KPIs and competencies
• Maintain a clean and organized store appearance
• Inform management of safety opportunities and demonstrate safe work practices

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent
• State licensure
• Optical dispensing experience
• Strong customer service skills, including communication, listening, and teamwork
• Knowledge of current store merchandise
• Strong basic math skills
• Awareness of current fashion trends
• Selling skills, including the ability to use and carry an iPad/tablet
• Familiarity with POS, computers, and calculators
• Embracing new technology and change

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous customer service and retail experience
