Key ResponsibilitiesThe Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care. Collaborating with medical professionals, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care, serving as an advocate for patients to ensure an unparalleled patient experience.
Key Duties Include:
- Demonstrating knowledge of human growth and development, assessment range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served.
- Promoting customer service initiatives aligned with Skyline Medical Center Service Values.
- Exhibiting behaviors that fully support positive customer service.
- Documenting all patient care accurately.
- Utilizing the Nursing Process for individualized care to meet patient needs.
- Demonstrating the ability to perform technical skills and procedures.
- Ensuring compliance with National Patient Safety Goals.
- Assessing patient condition during admission and throughout each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
- Performing procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
- Documenting the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
- Administering prescribed medications and monitoring patient responses.
- Maintaining knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
- Current Registered Nurse license in Tennessee or an appropriate compact state.
- Effective communication skills.
- Education – ASN, BSN preferred.
