Position: Staff Endodontist

Location: North Little Rock, Arkansas

The selected candidate will play a crucial role within the Central Arkansas Veterans Health Care System (CAVHS) Dental Service, demonstrating exceptional performance in their duties. Candidates who are in the process of fulfilling educational or certification/licensure prerequisites may be considered for preliminary selection but will not be officially hired until all criteria are satisfied.

Essential Qualifications:
  1. Doctor of Dental Surgery or dental medicine degree from an accredited institution.
  2. Completion of a residency in general practice or specialty, or equivalent experience with medically compromised patients.
  3. Valid, unrestricted dental license to practice in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States.
Desirable Experience:
  • Background in Endodontist Specialty
  • Completion of an Endodontics Residency Program
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to lift moderate weights, 45 pounds and above
  • Light lifting capability, under 15 pounds
  • Mobility requirements include walking, standing, and kneeling
  • Capacity for rapid mental and muscular coordination
  • Correctable near and far vision
  • Ability to differentiate colors and shades
  • Hearing capabilities (hearing aids may be permitted)
Key Responsibilities:

The Staff Endodontist will be responsible for:

  • Delivering patient care that is empathetic, suitable, and effective.
  • Exhibiting a solid understanding of biomedical, clinical, and social sciences.
  • Utilizing scientific evidence and methodologies to enhance patient care.
  • Collaborating with Dental Hygienists, Dental Assistants, and Dental Lab Technicians.
  • Conducting Endodontics Surgical Interventions and minor invasive procedures.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm
