We are seeking a skilled RN Registered Nurse Cardiac Medical PRN to join our team at Wellstar Health System.

About the Role:

The RN Registered Nurse Cardiac Medical PRN will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our Cardiac Rehabilitation department. This includes performing various stress testing, interpreting data, and utilizing nursing judgment to ensure patient safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide age-appropriate, patient-specific care that addresses biological, emotional, psychological, physical fitness, and educational needs of patients/family
  • Collaborate with system care partners, such as cardiologists, health psychology, diabetes education, and other wellness programs to ensure patients have access to all areas in the continuum of care
  • Develop individualized goal-oriented care plans for patients
  • Direct assessments, evaluation, and monitoring for all patients undergoing any cardiac stress testing and/or cardiac rehab exercise
  • Consult with physicians as needed based on medical status of patient
  • Document patient information in electronic medical record
  • Maintain strictest confidentiality concerning patient's medical and personal information
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing: Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing
  • Minimum 5 years nursing experience is required that includes sufficient clinical and management background to ensure competence in nursing practice and basic management functions
  • Ability to read, write, and speak the English language
