Position Overview:

The MRI Imaging Technician is responsible for the operation of magnetic resonance imaging equipment and the execution of diagnostic imaging procedures. This role involves collaboration with medical professionals to conduct specialized imaging tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate MRI machinery and carry out diagnostic imaging processes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to perform advanced imaging techniques.
  • Prepare and calibrate equipment for imaging tasks.
  • Ensure patient comfort while positioning them for imaging.
  • Gather and document patient information accurately.
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for patients and staff.
  • Identify and respond effectively to urgent medical situations.
  • Provide assistance in various departments as required.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of accredited radiologic technology education.
  • Mandatory MRI certification.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Registered with ARRT or ARMRIT.
  • Preferred prior experience in MRI operations.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs, with shared lifting of up to 100 lbs.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Proficient in general computer operations.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
