Job Summary:

The Lakeside Health & Rehab Center is seeking a skilled Recreational Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our Life Enrichment department, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating recreational, social, educational, and cultural programs for our residents. Your goal will be to enhance their quality of life and promote their overall well-being.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement recreational programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents.
  • Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to ensure that our programs align with the residents' care plans and goals.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
  • Assist with the coordination of special events and activities that promote socialization and community engagement.
  • Document resident participation and progress in our programs.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Minimum of one year of experience working with seniors in a recreational or social setting.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
