Nurse Practitioner, Per Diem New Born Nursery Specialist

The Nurse Practitioner serves as a key member of the Newborn Nursery team, providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with physicians and nurses to ensure optimal outcomes.
This per diem position requires a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to deliver care to inpatient newborns, working independently and as part of a team to achieve exceptional patient satisfaction and outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive patient care to newborns, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment
- Collaborate with physicians and nurses to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and develop effective care strategies
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions
- Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical guidelines and research to provide evidence-based care
- Masters or Doctoral Degree in Nursing from a NP program
- A minimum of one (1) year of recent experience as a Nurse Practitioner working with newborns or infants
- Preferred qualifications include more than one (1) year of work experience as a NP in a Newborn Nursery or Newborn ICU, lactation certification or lactation education experience
