Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to ensure optimal outcomes
- Prepare equipment and assist physicians during examinations and treatments
- Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor patient vital signs
- Observe and maintain records on patient care, condition, reaction, and progress
- Participate in the planning and implementing of patient care, providing leadership and direction to support staff
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Able to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care
- One-year experience in nursing preferred
- Current Texas State RN License
- CPR (American Heart Association) certification
- ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer date
- EKG certification required within 90 days of hire/transfer date
- TNCC certification within 18 months of hire/transfer date
A9 is a 27-bed unit with an emphasis on neurological, thoracic, abdominal, and orthopedic trauma patients. As a nurse on this fast-paced unit, you will work with a diverse team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, advanced practitioners, RNs, LVNs, therapists, RRTs, and ancillary staff.
