Job Description

The Senior Automation Engineer 2, MES role requires a highly skilled professional to join our team in Holly Springs, NC. As a key member of our Automation team, you will be responsible for implementing changes to Automation systems, updating design documents, executing testing, troubleshooting events, and providing on-call support for Automation inquiries and troubleshooting. This role involves leading projects and handling complex changes while coordinating with internal and external groups.

Key Responsibilities

• Spearhead the Automation team through activities, including code configuration within several process areas and scope work

• Develop various specification documents, such as user requirements specifications, functional specifications, design qualifications, and more

• Drive and coordinate global alignment of our implemented capabilities, maintaining and protecting our global platform concept

• Develop test protocols and functional testing documents, including installation qualifications, operational qualifications, and more

• Plan and implement technical direction for medium areas of responsibility

• Lead medium cross-functional teams through Automation projects

• Make complex decisions across single Automation systems

• Design Automation systems hardware and software, ensuring consistency across platforms

Requirements

We are seeking an experienced professional with a bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field or master's degree with relevant Automation experience. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with DeltaV MES (Syncade), proficiency in fundamental technologies like SQL Stored Procedures and xPath Matching, and previous experience in pharma/GMP environments. Additionally, we require personal ownership, proactive collaboration with external business partners and internal stakeholders, effective communication skills, and advanced strategic thinking abilities. We also prefer prior experience with modeling BPR and eBR recipe components in a Manufacturing Executing System.
