Position Overview:

At CVS Health, we are dedicated to enhancing health care through a human-centric approach. As a Senior Analyst in our Security Operations Center (SOC), you will play a pivotal role in identifying and monitoring potential security threats across our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first line of defense in safeguarding CVS Health's information security.
  • Train and mentor new SOC analysts, ensuring they are equipped to handle security incidents effectively.
  • Engage in complex cybersecurity investigations as part of our Threat Response initiatives.
  • Facilitate the escalation of security incidents in accordance with established Incident Response protocols.
  • Create, maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for SOC Threat Response playbooks.
  • Conduct metrics reporting and ensure accurate analysis of cybersecurity alerts.

Additional Duties:

  • Analyze inbound security events using industry-leading SIEM tools.
  • Review investigations conducted by Level 1 SOC Analysts for potential escalation.
  • Validate daily compliance reports to monitor routine and policy-related activities.
  • Collaborate with senior security engineers to deliver exceptional security services.

Required Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, etc.) and operating systems (Windows, UNIX, Linux).
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, including phishing, malware, and vulnerabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft technologies such as Active Directory.
  • Ability to analyze data from various systems for correlation and insights.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with security technologies such as Intrusion Prevention Systems, SIEM, and Firewalls.
  • Public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Possession of relevant certifications (e.g., Security+, CISSP) is advantageous.

Education:

A High School Diploma or GED is required, along with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
