**Job Overview**
We are seeking a skilled ZBV Backscatter Vehicle Mechanic to join our team at General Dynamics Information Technology. This role requires a technical expert with expertise in security clearance and overseas operations.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct scheduled and unscheduled security-related maintenance on ZBV Backscatter X-Ray vehicles.
- Inspect vehicles for safety and serviceability, perform fleet inventories, and provide service to ensure constant availability.
- Supervise repair and maintenance of vehicle chassis and equipment inventory.
- Provide workload status updates and fleet issues to the Program Manager.
- Cordination with Project Coordinator for travel requirements and liaison with subcontractor technicians.
- Apply technical knowledge to return vehicles to operational condition and solve complex problems.
- Maintain an inventory of parts necessary for maintenance and initiate ordering of repair parts per policy.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of five years of experience or equivalent combination of education/training and/or experience/military training performing field service maintenance on vehicles.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to lift more than 75lbs.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen, able to obtain a U.S. passport, and maintain a SECRET clearance.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, SharePoint, and mobile applications.
- Ability to support a non-standard and flexible schedule including on-call periods and short notice recalls.
