Cybersecurity Analyst II - $110-130K DOE plus a discretionary bonus - Hybrid

Our esteemed client is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst II. The Cybersecurity Analyst II will be instrumental in protecting the organization's assets and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our information systems and data. This role involves monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security threats and vulnerabilities, while actively contributing to the improvement of our cybersecurity framework.

Who You Are:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field required
  • 3+ years' experience in a Cybersecurity role, including experience in evaluating and recommending internal application and infrastructure controls required
  • Professional security management certification, such as CompTIA Security+, is highly desirable
  • Proficient with a Security Incident and Event Monitoring (SIEM) tool, performing log analysis, correlation, and incident response, required
  • Experience in monitoring and developing new rules to address detection gaps, required
  • Familiarity with vulnerability management tools to identify, assess, and collaborate with other teams to remediate security risks is highly desired
  • Experience in managing and optimizing a centrally managed EDR/XDR solution is highly desired
  • Knowledge and experience with common information security management frameworks and best practices, specifically the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) frameworks and Center for Internet Security (CIS) Critical Security Controls desired
What You'll Do:
  • Assist in establishing security governance and maintain self-audits, policies, and procedures to ensure that information security strategies comply with applicable laws and regulations through adherence to internal controls.
  • Participate in periodic security assessments, vulnerability, and penetration tests.
  • Track any remediation required due to security assessments/tests.
  • Review security tool logs to identify potential security issues or breaches.
  • Contribute to the development of the Security Program Roadmap.
  • Assist in identifying potential security technologies and researching their capabilities.

What does this position pay?
Compensation is determined by several factors, which may include skill set, experience level, and geographic location.
The expected range for this role is $110-130k per year, plus a discretionary and an annual merit review. Please note this range is an estimate, and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience. Complete benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and PTO.
