Job Summary

Cheshire Medical Center is seeking a skilled Radiology Technician to join our team. As a Radiology Technician, you will be responsible for operating radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Positioning and Imaging: Position patients on examining tables and adjust immobilization devices to obtain optimal views of specified body areas.
  • Diagnostic Procedures: Perform routine diagnostic procedures, including radiographic and fluoroscopic imaging.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate film processing equipment and mobile radiographic/fluoroscopic equipment in operating rooms, emergency rooms, or at patient bedside.
  • Radiation Protection: Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.
  • Communication and Organization: Develop strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to prioritize and organize daily work flow.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1+ year of current X-Ray Tech experience in a hospital setting.
  • Skills: Proficiency in fluoroscopy, digital radiography, portables, and OR c-arm.
  • Age Groups: Experience working with all age groups.
  • Travel Experience: Previous travel experience preferred.
Schedule and Accommodations
  • Availability: Must be available to work the posted schedule.
  • Time Off: Requested time off during the assignment must be noted and verified at upload.
  • Scheduling Accommodations: Cheshire Medical Center will not consider scheduling accommodation requests.
Additional Details
  • Dress Code: Hospital blue scrubs (provided), business casual with a lab coat, basic plain personal scrubs.
  • Personal Protective Equipment: Closed-toe shoes, sneakers, or clogs; hair worn pulled back if longer than shoulder length; no dangling earrings.
