About the Position

Sonoma State University is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Applied Flute Instructor to join our faculty pool. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to teach private lessons to students in the Bachelor of Music (BM) and Bachelor of Arts (BA) Music degree programs.

Responsibilities
  • Teach private lessons to students in the BM and BA Music degree programs
  • Potential for coaching ensembles and teaching other courses, as designated by the Department
  • Participate in department performances and events
  • Actively involved in recruitment activities
  • Build and maintain a private instruction studio
Requirements
  • College-level education in music and/or extensive professional performing and teaching experience
  • Master's degree not required, but preferred
