About the Role:
OCLI Vision is seeking a skilled Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our ophthalmologists in diagnosing and treating eye disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct routine and ancillary patient testing, including gathering and documenting patient information and history.
• Assist ophthalmologists with in-office procedures and prepare patient and procedure rooms.
• Perform first-level maintenance on ophthalmic equipment and notify the office manager of any equipment malfunctions.
• Utilize infection control techniques and universal precautions to maintain a safe and clean environment.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide exceptional patient care and support.
Requirements:
• One-year certificate from college or technical school; minimum two years of experience as an ophthalmic assistant or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• CPR certification and knowledge of ocular pharmacology, including anesthetics, steroids, antibiotics, and other medications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional demeanor at all times.
