Job Responsibilities

  • Determine Project Costs: Read construction drawings and specifications to determine total costs for projects.
  • Prepare Bids and Proposals: Prepare accurate bids and proposals for clients.
  • Material Selection and Verification: Choose appropriate materials, verify prices, and check contractors.
  • Effective Communication: Utilize effective communication skills to communicate with project managers, customers, and other associates.
  • Meetings and Budget Setup: Meet with contractors, builders, owners, and engineers on the jobs to bid, and assist in setting up budget on contact jobs.

Estimator Experience and Qualifications

  • 5+ Years Estimating Experience: Require (5+) years estimating experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and Bluebeam, with experience with Accubid software a plus.
  • Computerized Takeoff: Strong computerized estimating skills, including computerized/digital takeoff.
  • Knowledge of Electrical Installations: Basic knowledge of current means and methods of electrical installations, with (1+) years of field experience with electrical installations a plus.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills, with ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
  • Familiarity with NEC: Familiarity with the National Electric Code.
  • Teamwork and Adaptability: Willing to learn and be a part of a team, with a positive attitude and strong organizational skills.

Benefits and Compensation

Romanoff Group offers a comprehensive package of employee benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, paid vacation, holidays, 401(k), and ESOP retirement plan. The estimated salary for this position is $60,000-$80,000 per year, depending on experience.
