Physical Therapist Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality patient care and support the delivery of physical therapy services.
Key Responsibilities- Assist Physical Therapists in the evaluation and treatment of patients with physical disabilities or impairments.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to help patients achieve their goals.
- Conduct patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and implement interventions under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with Physical Therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Graduation from an Associate Degree program for Physical Therapist Assistants registered by the New York State Education Department.
- Current certification and registration with the New York State Education Department as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Basic cardiopulmonary life support certification (BCLS certification).
- Outpatient musculoskeletal experience and inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred.
- Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) a plus.
