As a Senior GIS Technical Analyst, your responsibilities will encompass a broad spectrum of production tasks related to geospatial projects and data management. You will play a crucial role in assisting Project Managers and Developers to meet project deliverables and timelines.
Our Geospatial division serves a diverse clientele across various sectors, including government agencies, utility companies, transportation, natural resources, and wildlife management. As an Esri Gold Partner, we are proud to be at the forefront of implementing cutting-edge Esri technologies.
The ideal candidate will be motivated by data analysis and the development of systems and solutions that foster innovation.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Providing expert consulting on data management best practices, including workflows, tools, governance models, and integration strategies.
- Leading the design and development of enterprise-level geographic information systems (GIS).
- Conducting data model design and development tasks while applying advanced geospatial analysis techniques to datasets.
- Working closely with the development team to offer GIS support, training, and troubleshooting for complex issues related to existing GIS applications, tools, and data.
- Supporting the development and maintenance of Esri-based GIS solutions and applications, performing cartographic tasks to create end-user map products, and providing ongoing support for GIS programs requiring programming and analysis.
Qualifications for a successful candidate should include, but are not limited to:
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a four-year college in GIS, Surveying, Engineering, Geography, Information Systems, or a related field, along with at least eight years of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in Esri ArcGIS Software, including Desktop, Extensions, ArcGIS Enterprise Server & Portal, with expertise in ArcGIS Server and geodatabases.
- Experience in managing Esri versions and versioning schemes, as well as producing ArcGIS data services and managing caching for web-GIS applications.
- Familiarity with the Esri Production Mapping suite of tools, including Data Reviewer, Workflow Manager, Task Assistant Manager, and optionally LRS and Esri's Roads and Highways.
- Competence in SQL Server and Oracle database development and usage, along with proficiency in scripting languages such as SQL, Python, ArcPy, .NET, and other spatial data processing tools.
- Expertise in producing high-quality cartographic products using both Esri and TileMill, coupled with strong oral and written communication skills.
