Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team of education professionals. The SLP will play a vital role in supporting students with speech, language, and communication disorders, empowering them to achieve academic and social success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's unique needs and goals.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to enhance students' communication skills and foster their overall development.
  • Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate speech and language goals into classroom activities and home support strategies.
  • Participate actively in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to establish, review, and update student goals, ensuring progress is tracked and documented.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of evaluations, therapy sessions, and progress reports, adhering to all relevant ethical and legal standards.
  • Offer valuable training and resources to teachers and parents on effective strategies to support students' speech and language development.
  • Stay abreast of current best practices, research, and continuing education opportunities in the field of speech-language pathology.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid SLP license or certification in Ohio.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA is highly preferred.
  • Experience working in a school setting is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to achieve shared goals.
