As a Cardiac Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing echocardiography procedures and interpreting results to facilitate comprehensive examinations and accurate preliminary interpretations.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare patients for examinations, perform 2-dimensional echoes, M-mode, and Doppler studies.
- Prepare preliminary interpretations of studies.
- Prepare and maintain patient records for echo studies.
- Assist supervising physicians with training of residents, fellows, faculty, and other physicians.
- Knowledge of multiple echocardiography platforms and technology.
- Ability to read, interpret, apply, and follow physicians' orders, policies, procedures, or written and verbal instructions.
- Successful completion of an accredited training course in cardiac technology.
- Successful completion of an accredited training course in cardiac ultrasound.
- Interpretation skills to facilitate comprehensive examinations and accurate preliminary interpretations.
- Successful completion of a cardiac echocardiography technology program (graduate of cardiac echocardiography technology program).
